Astrology Research & Data

Venusward Research · Updated September 13, 2026

Venusward runs its own Swiss Ephemeris calculation engine on thousands of simulated birth charts to answer questions most astrology sites only guess at: how common an empty house really is, how often house systems disagree, and how sensitive a rising sign is to birth-time error. Every number here links back to its method, sample, and script.

Key Numbers

StudyHeadline numberSample
Empty House Probability49.02% of charts have an empty 7th house20,000 simulated charts
Placidus vs. Whole Sign Disagreement25.61% of charts flip empty-or-not between systems20,000 simulated charts
Birth Time SensitivityMedian 30 minutes changes the rising sign2,000 simulated charts

Method

All three studies use Venusward's own production calculation code (the Swiss Ephemeris library, file-free Moshier mode) run against simulated samples, not real user data — none of it comes from the free calculator or the paid report. Each study page documents its own sample size, sampling method, and the exact script that produced it, so the numbers can be reproduced independently rather than taken on faith.

Limits

These are simulations over synthetic samples, not measurements of real births or predictions for an individual chart. Each study page states its own sampling limits (geographic coverage, birth year range, and sample size) in detail — read the individual page before quoting a number out of context.
