About Venusward
Venusward is a one-person astrology site: a free birth chart calculator and a personalized love-astrology report, built and reviewed by Jack. Every chart runs on Swiss Ephemeris astronomical data. The free chart's personalized notes come from a pre-written, human-reviewed content library; the paid report's chapters are AI-drafted and then individually reviewed by a human before delivery. Either way, the writing stays honest about what astrology can and cannot tell you.
Who makes this
Venusward is made by one person — Jack. I'm based in California, and I've been studying astrology for three years — long enough to know what a chart can show and what it can't. Not a team of resident astrologers, not a content farm: I build the calculators, run the numbers, review every report before it goes out, and answer for every word this site publishes.
I don't hold an astrology certification, and I won't invent one — this field has no legal licensing, and a voluntary certificate is no substitute for showing the method in full — which is why every calculation choice is documented on the accuracy page. You shouldn't have to take anything here on authority; you should be able to check it.
How your chart is calculated
Every chart on this site is computed with Swiss Ephemeris, the precision-grade data source professional astrologers rely on, derived from NASA JPL planetary data. Your birth date, time, and place are converted into exact planetary positions — degree by degree — and shown to you in full, so any placement can be independently verified against other professional-grade tools. Lunar nodes are calculated as the true node, not the mean node. Different astrology tools default to different node calculations, so we state ours plainly. Nothing is randomized, and nothing is hidden.
How reports are written
Current status: beta waitlist open. No reports have been generated yet; each report is AI-drafted, then reviewed and edited by a human. Reviewed 2026-10-19.
The planned workflow for each paid report uses AI assistance inside a structured astrological framework (essential dignity, aspect patterns, sect), built from your exact chart data rather than a generic template. The intended review step is that I read and edit each report before delivery. This is a planned process, not a record of completed reports. The full, plain-language version of this disclosure lives on the AI Disclosure page.
How blog content is edited
Blog revisions may use AI assistance for drafting, comparison and code changes. Calculation examples are checked against declared inputs; interpretive passages identify their source tradition and distinguish it from editorial synthesis. Hypothetical examples are labeled and are not presented as client experience.
Book citations support an account of what an author teaches, not proof that astrology predicts a person’s behavior. Numerical agreement tests a calculation implementation. We do not use an AI-detector percentage as a quality score or add expert-review credentials without an actual review.
Material corrections update the article’s modified date and its source note. The September 13, 2026 revision corrected statistical denominators, birth-date ayanamsa, a time-zone example and the scope of book references. Download the method and correction record. To report an issue, use the contact address in the AI disclosure and include the article URL and disputed passage.
Why this exists
This corner of the internet has a habit of charging weekly subscriptions for daily horoscopes, upselling through fear, and dressing guesswork up as destiny. Venusward is built against that grain: the calculator is free forever, the report is a one-time purchase with no subscription and no upsell emails, and the writing follows three rules — honest over mystical, warm over dramatic, precise over ornate.
What astrology can't tell you
A birth chart describes patterns and tendencies — it does not decide outcomes, and nothing here will tell you what you "will" do or who you are "destined" for. Astrology is offered on this site for self-reflection and entertainment. It is not therapy, medical advice, or a substitute for professional support; if something in your life feels heavy right now, a qualified professional will help in ways no chart can.
