What We Collect and Why

We collect the following categories of personal information:

• Birth information (birth date, birth time, birth place). We use this solely to calculate your astrological chart and to generate the report you request. This information is essential to providing our service — without it, we cannot calculate your chart.
• Free chart calculator: birth data you submit to our free calculator is used transiently to calculate your chart and is not stored on our servers. It is sent to our calculation service for the single request, the resulting chart is returned to your browser, and the input is discarded — we keep no database record and no log of the birth date, time, or place you entered. (The retention period described below applies only to birth data submitted with a paid report order, not to free calculator use.)
• Compare mode (Twin Flame Calculator): if you use the optional "Compare With Someone" mode to enter another person's birth data, that data is used the same way as the free calculator above — calculated transiently to produce the comparison, sent to our calculation service for the single request, and not stored on our servers. We keep no database record and no log of the second person's birth date, time, or place. You must have that person's permission to share their birth details with us before submitting them; the form requires you to confirm this before it will proceed.
• Payment and contact information (email address). Collected by our payment processor, Stripe, at checkout. We use your email solely to deliver your report and communicate about your order (confirmations, delivery, refund requests).
• Notification email(optional). If you opt in at checkout — this is unchecked by default — we send status updates as your order moves through delivery. If you don't opt in, we send no order-status emails beyond Stripe's own receipt.
• Waitlist and beta sign-up email(optional). If you submit your email through one of our sign-up forms (for example, the free-beta waitlist on our report page or chart result page), we collect only your email address, a source tag identifying which form you used, and the submission timestamp — no name, IP address, or device/browser information. We use this solely to send the two kinds of email our sign-up forms promise: next steps for your free beta report, or a one-time notice when paid checkout opens for the next batch. Submitting the form is your consent to receive those two emails. Consistent with what the forms themselves tell you ("nothing else, no other emails"), we do not use this address for any other marketing or promotional email. To deliver these messages, we use Resend, our transactional email provider, sending from the subdomain send.venusward.com.
• Analytics information(page views and a predefined set of interaction and conversion events). Collected by our analytics vendor, PostHog. We do not use cookies or browser storage for analytics — tracking state is kept in memory only and does not persist between page loads. We do not record session replays. We do not automatically capture every click; only the specific events we've defined are sent. Anonymous visitors do not have a user profile created for them. Analytics data is processed on PostHog's U.S.-based servers. We do not use analytics data to identify you personally.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your birth information for advertising or marketing purposes.

How Your Report Is Generated

Your report is generated using a third-party artificial intelligence (large language model) API, based on the astrological chart data calculated from your birth information. A human reviewer checks the AI-generated content before it is delivered to you.

We do not send your payment or contact information to this API — only the chart data necessary to generate your report's content. As of the "Last updated" date above, we have not finalized which AI provider we use for report generation. We will update this section to name the specific provider and confirm their current data-training terms before we generate any report — beta or paid.

How Long We Keep Your Information

• Birth information (paid report orders only — the free calculator does not store your input, see above): retained for 90 days after your report is delivered, to support re-delivery requests, refund disputes, or customer service inquiries. After 90 days, we delete it or retain only an anonymized version (with location data generalized so it can no longer identify you) for internal quality review of our calculations. If you would like us to keep your birth information longer than 90 days — for example, to support a future re-delivery request — you can ask us to retain it by emailing us at the address below; we will not extend retention without your request.
• Payment and contact information: retained only as long as necessary to fulfill your order and respond to related inquiries. Payment records held by Stripe are governed by Stripe's own privacy policy and retention practices, which we do not control.
• Waitlist and beta sign-up email: retained for 24 months from the date you submit it. You may ask us to delete it sooner at any time by emailing us at the address below, and we will honor that request. One exception: after we delete your email address, U.S. CAN-SPAM law requires us to keep a suppression-list entry recording that this address asked not to be contacted again, so that we do not accidentally email you in the future — that suppression record is kept separately from, and does not restore, the deleted contact information itself.
• Analytics information: retained per PostHog's default retention period, which we do not control, or indefinitely in aggregate, non-identifying form.

You may request earlier deletion at any time — see "Your Rights" below.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you
• Access a copy of that information
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your information ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Receive your data in a portable format

We offer these rights to all users, regardless of location, as a matter of practice rather than only where legally required.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@venusward.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity (e.g., by confirming the email address used for your order) before processing your request, to protect against fraudulent requests.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and believe we have not adequately addressed your request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

International Visitors

We apply a single global privacy standard to all visitors, based on the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), rather than different rules for different regions. For regions that grant rights not listed above, email us and we will respond according to the law that applies to you.

Age Requirement

Our service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 18 years of age. Because our service involves precise birth date, time, and place information, we require all users to confirm they are at least 18 years old before submitting the intake form.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@venusward.com.
